Clarissa started learning Chinese in high school, motivated by personal interest and the hope of connecting with her Chinese heritage. As an Indonesian Chinese, she believed that learning Chinese was the first step to deepening her connection to the culture.

Gareth Winslow

Gareth began learning Chinese after moving to Shenzhen in 2004. Gareth quickly fell in love with China and knew that learning Chinese would be essential to fully experiencing life there. For him, it was about more than just communication — it was a way to deepen his understanding of Chinese culture and open the door to new opportunities.
