9:30 am -1:30pm, 1st Oct, 2022, SNW 2.36, Sir Neil Waters Lecture Theater, East Precinct, Massey University, Auckland.    2022 New Zealand Chinese Language Week Speech Contest – Stories of “Me and China” To celebrate the 2022 New Zealand Chinese Language Week, Massey University and Albany Village Library invite NZ learners of Chinese language and culture (non-native speakers of Chinese who are 18 years old or above) to participate in a speech contest, on 1 October 2022 9:30 am -1:00 pm on Massey University’s Auckland Campus. The theme is your personal experiences in engaging with Chinese language, culture, community, and people and how this has helped establish and maintain people-to-people relationships that have been meaningful for you.  You are welcome to use your first language, English, Chinese or the combination of them. Speeches should be less than five minutes long. The judges will evaluate the speeches based on content, style, delivery, and impact. The event is online and face-to-face. Participants who cannot attend in person at Massey’s Albany campus can choose to either deliver their speech live on Zoom or submit a pre-recorded video in advance.
