NATIONAL
DUMPLING DAY

26 SEPTEMBER

We're back for 2026!

We’re getting ready to once again celebrate one of the most loved parts of Chinese cuisine - dumplings.

As part of New Zealand Chinese Language Week, National Dumpling Day brings together food, creativity, and community, inviting restaurants across Aotearoa to showcase their unique flavours and take part in the Design a Dumpling competition. From classic favourites to bold new creations, it’s a chance to celebrate the diversity and creativity of Chinese cuisine.

We’re now inviting restaurants to register their interest in taking part in National Dumpling Day 2026. Participation is free and supported through NZCLW promotion, with the winning restaurant receiving a monetary prize.

If you’re a restaurant keen to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Please register below.
